According to research by the Arizona Brewer's Guild, the total economic impact of Arizona craft brewing in Arizona in 2011 was $278 million. That is quite a big impact for a "niche" market. Time to celebrate this steadily growing trend of local brews! The mission of American Craft Beer Week (May 12-18, 2014) is to encourage beer lovers everywhere to celebrate the accomplishments of America's small and independent craft brewers. Of course we have Gordon Biersch, Rock Bottom and plenty of draft houses, did you know there are three independent breweries working on opening in the West Valley? Dubina Brewing Company in Glendale is working to open this summer, with a traditional palette with a modern feel. Peoria Artisan in Litchfield Park has plenty of unique recipes (and munchies!) to keep you interested, and Peoria's Freak'N Brewery will soon be offering flights and growlers, so you can sample and take home your favorites!
