Gila River Arena - Visit Glendale AZ

Gila River Arena is an award-winning, state-of-the-art, multi-purpose facility that host national and international chart-topping recording artists, a variety of sporting events and exciting family shows each year. Owned by the City of Glendale, Gila River Arena is home to the National Hockey League Arizona Coyotes and has established itself as Arizona’s premiere sports and entertainment facility. With two separate concourses on two seating levels, Gila River Arena provides guests with non-restricted views of the action featuring an intimate seating bowl with all the modern amenities.

Recipient of the Pollstar Best New Concert Venue of the Year in 2004 and recognized as’s Best Sporting Venue and Best Major Concert Venue in Phoenix year-after-year, Gila River Arena has hosted some of the biggest names in entertainment today.

The National Hockey League Arizona Coyotes have played hockey in the desert since moving from Winnipeg for the 1996-97 season. The team now calls Gila River Arena in Glendale its home.

The Coyotes continue to work for a “Whiteout” – a popular tradition that started in Winnipeg but quickly carried over to Phoenix hockey fans – that involves all fans dressing in white during home postseason games.
