West-Valley-Youth-Orchestra-2014 Now in its 46th Year, the West Valley Symphony is still one of the best cultural bargains in town. The Symphony welcomes all ages and levels of knowledge to come and experience the fun of a live performance with talented artists. The  Holiday Season Concert is the perfect time to introduce children to the symphony, with many playful and recognizable pieces, such as Anderson’s Christmas Festival, the Festive Sounds of Hanukkah and Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Suite No. 1. The program will include the conducting debut of Keith Morrow, winner of the "Be a Conductor" live auction item at the fund raiser held last April. Special this year, Maestro Cal Stewart Kellogg is pleased to welcome to the stage for a portion of the concert the West Valley Youth Orchestra. “The holidays are a perfect occasion for this side by side performance, as well as a great educational experience for my orchestra members.” said Claire Gordon, Music Director and Conductor of the WVYO, as well as a violinist with the West Valley Symphony. Concert Sponsors, West Valley Symphony Trustee and past President, Barbara Lashmet and husband Jonas ask that you join them in honoring 102 year young, Helene Gumina, long time West Valley patron of the arts!
