Beyond Superbowl, Glendale Chocolate Affaire and Valentine’s Day, what’s the next party in town? St. Patty’s Day! Always a great time to celebrate in Glendale, we’ll be turning the town green.
Start off your St. Patty’s celebrations early and join us at Westgate Entertainment District on Saturday March 15th at 7 am for the Kiss Me I’m Irish Run. Whether you're running or walking, the Run is a great, healthy way to begin the day. There are distances for every age and ability - an “Irish” k, 4k, 8k and 17k. Bring the whole family, including the dog - leashed pets are welcome on all courses!
Everyone’s got a bit of Irish in them on St. Patty’s. Dress up in your best Irish green for the costume contest. We’ll even have prizes for the best-dressed dogs! If you have nothing to wear, check out the shops in the West Valley – Park West, Arrowhead Towne Center, and Historic Downtown - you’ll find lots of Irish goodies out there!
You might also want to stop by Arizona Urology in Glendale and help them “Raise some green to support Prostate screen.” Arizona Urology and Kiss Me I’m Irish Run are teaming up with Prostate On-Site Project (POP), a mobile prostate cancer screening clinic. The POP bus will be at Westgate March 15th offering free screenings. Register at 480-964-3013. Space is limited, so register for this important screening today.
Dads and lads (lassies too!) will have a great time at the Kiss Me I’m Irish Run. We’ve got a great big Kiss (a chocolate one) for all finishers, our friends from Nothing Bundt Cakes will be offering everyone a Bundtini, and Culver’s Frozen Custard will be on hand with frozen custard for all participants. At the after-party, every participant over 21 will receive a free beer, compliments of the owner of McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon.
Check it out on www.irishrunaz.com. Register before the end of January to take advantage of the early registration discount. You will be glad you did!
