Everyone’s a wee bit Irish for St. Patty’s!
guest blog by Kathleen of Kiss Me I'm Irish Run
Start your St. Patty’s celebrations off in a healthy way - sign up to run or walk in the Kiss Me I’m Irish Run on Saturday March 14th. It starts and ends at Westgate Entertainment District at 7:17 am, right in front of McFaddens Restaurant and Saloon - the host for the event after-party.
There’s a distance for every age and ability - an “Irish” k, “Four Leaf Clover” 4k, 8k walk/run or a17k run. Every participant in the 4k, 8k and 17k receives a technical running shirt and a finishers medal, plus there are (chocolate) kisses for all and Bundtini’s from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Strollers and pets are welcome!
Kilted Spirit Band will get you in the mood, playing at the start / finish. Wear your best “St. Patty’s themed” outfit to get a lucky shamrock prize! There will also be lucky shamrocks to find along the Four Leaf Clover course. Find one and redeem it for a prize.
After the run/walk, plan to stay around for the after party at McFaddens where the owner will be offering everyone a green beer (21 and over).
